Because I am lazy…
Its time for a Monday link roundup (not that I have ever actually done a Monday link roundup before…but never mind).
Alterati – This week’s podcast is of interest to me, with Joesph Matheny talking to Raymond Salvatore Harmon about his movie (the Philosopher’s Stone, which I still need to download), art on the fringes and the Chicago art scene. If that’s your sort of thing, then give it a listen.
Antiwar – Justin Raimondo tells us what we could expect to see from Obama on a foreign policy front.
Blairwatch – Has a good piece about The Economist’s David Rennie, and how he sees relations between America and the EU changing (or not) should Obama win.
Charlotte Gore - has an inteview with Nick Clegg, and manages to not giggle (this time), while getting in some interesting questions. Further parts should be forthcoming, so if that interests you, be sure to bookmark and check back (or cheat and use an RSS feed, like me).
Chicken Yoghurt – It would seem that Alistair Campbell is discovering that character assassination and smears are that much easier than other forms of fictional writing (like, actual novels). See, this is why you should do Nanowrimo first Campbell, to see if you are made of the right stuff or not.
Disinfo – unsurprisingly, waterboarding is quite agonizing.
Five Chinese Crackers – Having wringed every final piece of outrage possible out of the Brand nonsense, the Daily Mail has gone back to its more usual ways, of blaming immigrants and nonexistant PC Brigades for things they had nothing to do with.
James Fallows – McCain on SNL tells us he has accepted he will probably not win.
Jon Swift – the web’s most reasonable conservative is here to tell you why John McCain will win tomorrow.
Lenin’s Tomb – Lenin adds some context to an excellent Johann Hari article on the Congo crisis. Worth reading, as always.
Lifehacker – computer/brain interfaces are now a reality.
Lurking Rhythmically – Erin, like myself is getting down to some serious novel writing this month. Good luck Erin!
Mutualism Blog – if organizational theory interests you, Kevin Carson has links to his draft chapters on a book dealing with just that. Way over my head, and I don’t have the time to read it, but if it interests you, you know where to go.
Orcinus – David once again questions the prorities of the US media, and their apparent inability to deal with the problems of the far-right, domestic terrorist threat.
Sadly, No! – HTML Mencken has been torturing himself by reading G Gordon Liddy’s autobiographical book Will, however it has produced fruit in letting him show us exactly how nutty (and terroristic) McCain’s BFF is.
Science Daily – there is a new test which could check for hundreds of diseases.
The New Republic/Isaac Chotiner – It looks like FOX News has chosen its side in the imminent GOP civil war and – surprise! – its not with Brooks and the intellectuals who are arguing that conservativism is out of step with the country.
Wired – blogging is dead. What?! OH NOES (runs around in circles). Needless to say, the prospect of the death of blogging does not especially worry me, despite the meme seeming to gain currency in certain circles.
And that’s your links for today.

Thanks for the link, Cain.
Not a problem. I do enjoy your blog, however its a little beyond my capabilities right now to do much more than think about what you post. Nevertheless, I find it interesting and hopefully, one day, will have the time to fully understand the implications of what you write about. Until then, I shall be reading and learning.
